Hi Eleanor, My late husband had cellulitis for years and when it was at it's worse we had a nurse come to the house and she would wrap them with a medicated wrapping of some sort, it's called a ---- boot, I can't recall the name of it and MediCare paid for it. It seemed to help and also I had to hook him up to an IV once a day to an antibiotic drip. He did get better after a while. I also had it, just a small amount on my forehead, cellulitis is not contagious, I got it while I had a throat infection and it went away very quickly. It did leave a scar though. I hope you are better very soon, I am sending prayers.
