    3. Being a hunter, I have had gallons of camp fire coffee and absolutely loved it. No, it wasn't as consistent as the coffee made in coffee brewers we have today but maybe that was part of the fun. Perhaps it was, as you suggest, the camp fire smoke and ashes that enhanced the flavor, I can't say but I do know I loved the coffee...
