Elanor, Kenneth had a thing going on with his leg, can't remember what they called it now, but they gave antibiotics in the hospital intervenious, then he has been taking the antibiotics at home since then. Started out with his leg hurting, running fever and chills. Just feeling crappy. So hope tha t isn't what you had. Any way hope you continue to do well at home. We can sure get strange things as we get older. gees. Although, now this is off the subject of us older ones, but my granddaughter gave me a greatgrandson. Well now I have heard of this before, but never knew any one get it. She got mastitis. Would you believe that. I heard of cows getting it, and had read one time new mommeys can get it, but had forgot that. But all seems to be ok now and as she said she is a jersey cow again. So hope she continues to do ok as she has had alot of health problems, seems like any thing from both sides of the family she gets. My daughter and her husband only had one girl, so I guess she just got all the bad stuff. Had a really hard time getting pg. and time was starting to run out but all went well and they have a healthy 8 lbder. I looked mastitis up on the computer and there are alot of new mommeys that get it. who knew. Hope you continue to improve. Dear Louise, Thank you for your remembering me. Actually this started last year (June 2010) and has not gotten fully well. It started with both of my legs and feet swelling like a "Macy's Day" balloon. They were so swollen until they looked like they were going to burst. Little things that looked like blisters formed on my swollen legs and they drained water all the time. I asked the Infectious Disease Doctor what caused it....she said that last year when I had the oozing from the broken skin, infection (a type of staph) got started in there. I would go to my regular doctor and they wouldn't give me any medicine; so I started getting them giving me antibiotics for sinus infections...so I would not feel so awful. This time, I went to the ER and was fortunate enough to have my regular doctor. It is getting better, thank the Lord. I am so sorry to hear of your grand daughter having Mastitis...that is very painful. I hope that everyone in your family is doing better.
