    3. My mothers parents had no teeth at all and both were only partly grey. My grandmothers hair was straight as a stick but so long when it was braided she could set on the braid. But my grandma was the spicy one of the two. She is the native american on my moms side. She came here from Prince Albert, Sask. She had one son, his dad drowned on fishing trip. She met my granpa in Fargo, N.D who had came from Ogle County, IL. They had 8 children including my grandmas son. My grand pa made drinking stuff. one day a pretty new car came up the drive way and grandpa told his son Jess if he tipped his hat to tip over the mash barrell. Pretty soon grandpa tipped his hat and Jess dumped the mash. When the men left and grandpa came to the barn he got mad at his son for tipping the mash barrell. Jess said to his pa you told me if you tipped your hat to dump it and grandpa said to him yes bumping the mash was bad but getting all the hogs drunk was a worse mess they about ruined the barn. Then we think we got problems<VBG> Viola

    3. For those of you who have never seen a drunk hog #1 get out of the way#2 the entertainment is great, #3 they can be mean, just like humans. And "drinkinmash" isn't the only thing that make alcohol. Cantaloupes bruised and left in the sun make a powerful liquor.

    3. I have always been afraid of hogs. One look at that big mouth and all those teeth just bicycle the livin day lights out of me. When my two youngest daugters were still home but in high school. They were never afraid of any farm animals. Well Allen wanted to put a brood sow into a farrowing house one morning say tennish!! So he told us all were to stand and told us we need not be afraid because she was a gentle sow. Well he put me the furtherest away from the house. well when the sow came tearing down towards me like a flash i was gone my girls with me. But i beat both of them to the house by 25 feet or more. None of my kids would run a foot race with me nor would they indian wrestle but i had more expierence with it when i was young. You know i never had a bicycle till i was in my 30's and it was a mans racing bike but it was so tall i had to find some thing to stand on before i could get on the seat. Allen bought it for me at a sale and i sent it to Fargo with my daughter in law and sje sold it for 80.00. But first time i rode a bike it was a boys to. But at least i could get on it i just did not know how to steer or anything. The first thing i ran into was a big light pole then i hit the neighbors house then my neighbor took it away from me and i never questioned him. It was brand new birthday present from his parents. I was 10/11 then. Guess i was klutz when i was small. Worst thing i did was fall into the red river three times in same day. Same brother pulled me out every time. But some how or other i survived. Although my head has been hit and bumped into every thing imaginable so its strange i never had concussions or any thing from all the banging it got. But who knows that is probably my english problem today. Ta ta. Viola.
