    1. [ML] Remembering Our Dads
    2. marilyn E B
    3. As Father's Day approaches I am remembering the small things/times with my dad. An almost daily memory is dad telling me how to mix Kool Ade and get the sugar dissolved. Start stirring as you add the water. How to collect eggs when the hen is still on the nest. Helping him overhaul a motor because my hands would slip into small places his would not fit. The night he brought home my first Indiana pet. He had been to an auction and they had a litter of part toy collie puppies. I was in bed with Whooping Cough and he thought I needed a furry friend. This list could go on and on as I was a daddy's girl. "You Are My Sunshine" was our song. This version is undoubtedly the one dad had heard on the radio, I was born in 1941. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDNDELFF1ok&feature=related Happy Father's Day to all our men. Marilyn -- "If you don't get outside every day, even for a minute, you have not appreciated what God has done. It makes you grateful for our surroundings, and it starts your day differently."
