Oh, Connie, I agree. I've heard too many reports of things that are over-looked. We have a guy here on the local news channel that rates different restaurants every week. It can make you sick. I never knew what may happen just to a slice of lemon you may ask for in your tea or soda. It's quite scary! ----- Original Message ----- From: Connie To: memory-lane@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, June 06, 2011 12:05 PM Subject: Re: [ML] Bubblers Ewww, Marilyn. I used to enjoy salad bars that were frequent in supermarkets here until I watched a kid cough all over the greens. I put down my container and went home and made my own salad, and never went to a salad bar again. Ick! I don't even want to know what kinds of horrible things we end up consuming when we eat out. The visuals stay locked in my head forever. Ick! And I don't buy organic ... and am glad I don't, what with the German organic farm being the possible source of the new EColi going around. I realize that in the olden days the only food you got was so-called organic. But that's just me, and I don't know if people are using infected manure to grow their crops.
