It is totally true; Everybody gets to be young but not everybody gets to be old, If you are young enjoy it and if you are old you can appreciate it. I have been the first and now I am the last. Not as much fun but part of life. Do we still have quilters on the list.???? I've really been taken by the lovely quilts the Russians have put together for the Olympics. (Well the company that did the design is Bosco di Cillegi.) I just never thought about quilting in Russia. And why not. It's a poor, extremely cold country. My handyman in NJ was from Russia. He & his bother brought their mother over to the USA. I'm going to talk to him about quilting in Russia. She is a wonderful cook. Made great dumplings. Light as a feather. Baked the best Turkey one year for Thanksgiving that I ever tasted. It's raining in Georgia this morning. Was in the 70's yesterday. Wherever you are-I hope you are warm and feel good. Carol Georgia
Jeannie I also have a hiatal hernia, got it when I was carrying my last baby, carried her real high. Of course now, I get acid reflux, take medication (Dexilant) for it, but still have to eat early, and still have to WATCH what I eat. Just got a letter for our prescription carrier (insurance) they want me to take a cheaper medication, have tried many, including Nexium, I also take a blood clot medication, and when I took Nexium, it canceled out the blood clot Meds.( Plavix,) they think that might be the reason I got the clot in my eye, and why I have loss vision in my right eye. Medication saves our lives, but it also can be very complicated, and interact differently with other medications. Sully, in windy Sunny California
Reminds me of the time I decided to fall backwards into a pile of leaves as I had seen kids do...Looked around..no witnesses...Fell backwards...OMG! Needed more leaves...LOTS more leaves! I am sorry, I am really not, for upsetting two of you. I don't express my feelings about people that are on the list. I think it is uncalled for and creates bad feelings. So, I am taking you two off my list and you can do the same about me. I am really disappointed because I felt close to you since we have all been on the list for a long time. Barb
One day when the kids were in school, I decided to get on the sled and see how much fun it was going over a bump in our front yard. It looked like so much fun when the kids flew over the bump and laughed. Got on the sled, not to easy to do, slid down the yard and went over the bump and landed HARD on my butt. I think I saw all the colors of the rainbow. Never did it again. Margy, I am so upset that people took issue with you. I guess they were sticking up for me. You are the best and don't forget it. A little tear just ran down my face. You leave, I leave. You belong here, you are like a mother overlooking her kids. I wish I could put my arms around you and say 'all is well'. You comfort us like you did me. Personally, I don't know what I would do without you. I live for the list and all the comfort it gives me. I can talk to all of the list about all my problems and feel safe and secure when they understand and comfort me. I love ya all. Barb
I had that camera stuck down my throat to try to find out what my problem was. I woke up for a few seconds and saw this big thing going into my throat that looked like a snake. Went back to sleep. Your right about the throat hurting. It hurt for days. They found an ulcer on my esogheous and an hiatal hernia. The hernia gives me a lot of problems.
