Potatoes can take cold weather and some frost..other eyes will sprout if all the new plants get frosted...We have 'volunteer' potatoes that sprout up every year, here and there where we didn't dig all of them..Mostly Fingerling style... A friend told me today she saw Shallot bulbs where they sold onion sets..about 2.59 per pound. I told hr to get me pound but I bet they'll all be gone..You could use them to cook with just like the expensive shallots one buys. I was hoping they were the mild white type, but she said they had brown skins..I very much fear we lost our starts of the white ones because I didn't store them in a good place...Ma used to grow them in the garden by her big old log house..I remember seeing them scattered out on newspapers in her attic....Jeannie T~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ____________________________________________________________ High School Yearbooks View Class Yearbooks Online Free. 3. Grace, that is good news and that can pick anybody up, almost. We are having a girl in July and ordered the crib and mattress on Monday. The mattress was half price so we ordered the crib along with it. Can't wait. 3. Sully, all I have outside my house is 'yuck'. Suppose to snow tonight, right now it is 21degrees and I am sick, sick, sick of it. Although, I do remember one year where I didn't get my plants in until the second week in June because of cold weather and rain. 3. Jeannie, I planted some potatoes in pots in the basement and they are coming up. I wonder if they will keep growing or die Its warm down there with light. Planted some green peppers with the seeds from them. I am anxious to see if they sprout. Oh I can't believe that, it poured, and we got lots of rain, the hills above us are a nice green now !!! I know it had to help some, everything in the hills turned green , where before it was brown and very very dry. We do have the nice wether, but than we do have these wild fires, but usually not this soon into the new year. I did water this morning, everything is in bloom, even more than what I said last time. My Pink Wiigela is so pretty, and my Avocado tree is all in bloom, the bees are so noisy, I can hear them from my back door. I went out and looked at the Avocado tree, and it smells so sweet, all those blossoms, smell so good, almost as good as a Orange tree in bloom !!! I had a yellow plant, it blooms early, but my husband gave it a hair cut about three weeks ago, so now it's just now getting green leaves instead of getting yellow blossoms, I can't remember what the name is, but it's beautiful and smells so good too. It is so nice to go out and water, so many beautiful flowers, and all is so green. Sully, in Sunny California

    3. I also agree-houses do give off good and bad vibes. New houses do not have that warm, cozy, loving feeling that an old house has(for me). We have lived in 14 homes over a 55 year period and some had the best warm and happy vibe and others not so much! I have to be in a warm and happy home to be my best! Two of the homes were especially welcoming and everyone who visited said the same thing about the homes. My grandparents home(where my Mom and my baby sister still live)has housed my relatives for 93 years and although all updated etc. it is still just the warmest and happiest house I have ever been in-not sure if it is the house, people in it or memories but it is a place you feel comfort and love at all times. 1. [ML] Went to the beach
    2. Well, we went to the beach today, our son's place. It was so nice, good breeze from off the ocean, sunny, and I think I got a little to much sun, my face is a little red, and feels warm right now. His canopy in the back yard was almost down, had a big pool of water right in the middle, ( from the big rain a week ago) the frame was down about half way, we removed the canvas, put in over his spa to dry, and took the frame apart. We have a few poles from an old canopy, going to see if they might fit the ones that got bent. I told him back in October to take that canopy down, I told him the wind might pick it up and fly it over to his neighbors yard. Well it didn't, but now it's down, don't know if he will ever get it back up. I also told him to put all his patio furniture away ( he has two nice big pillow chairs and a love seat, a coffee table, a end table, and a fire pit out there, and they are getting faded, and I noticed the fire pit is getting rusty on the sides. He's never home any more, should put everything away before it's unusable !!! He's asked us if we want to move in to his home for awhile, his home is big and beautiful, but we like our own home, and I have my garden I love. I am just getting ready to get it back into shape, our home is more comfy. His home is big and you can see the ocean from there, but it's drafty, and damp when there's fog. You know how you can get a feeling from a home ?, well when I am in his, I get a sad feeling !!!! The couple that he bought the home from, were getting a divorce that's why they were selling it, and I think that's the sad feeling I get when I am there. We made good time coming home, and it was much warmer here, and my cats were waiting for me when I got home. I still love our home, even after 52 years, I just get a god feeling when I come home. A friend of my husband came over one day, and said he could feel a lot of love in our home, I think that's what I feel too. A lot of love from all the years we lived here, raised our children here, and all the happy memories we have put in this home !! If possible this is where I want to end my days if I can, right here in this home I truly love. I told my husband that if I die before him, he should cremate me and sprinkle my ashes in the garden, good for the soil, and would me happy too. Sully in Sunny California

    3. Well it is a beautiful day in Central Florida.  I have all the doors open and the the breeze is just enough to make it wonderful.  Bob right now is busy doing something to the gutters. I have been busy doing my core muscles and riding my bike two miles a day now I will have to get busy and walk the dogs when I have time.  To tell the truth I do not know if I can get the dogs into my schedule or not.  After the exercises and the  bike I am tired.   This Thursday we will babysit the Monsters and they will spend the night with us on Saturday.  They are ten and three years old so we will be pretty busy but we are also looking forward to it. I am reading a book that someone gave me for my birthday way back in November and it is really interesting.  Something else to take up my mind.  Annette.

Looks like it's going to be very informative, and interesting, here on the west coast, it starts at 9:00 PM, check your TV guide to see when it starts in your time zone. It's another beautiful and HOT day in La La land (California) going up to be 87 today, it's already hot outside in our back yard. Already started a pork roast, good thing I am cooking it on top of the stove, wouldn't want the oven on a hot day like today !!! Have a good one. Sully in sunny California
