Did the tree die? Just wondering as we have roots coming up in the lawn from the Mulberry tree. I know they come up because of water instead of going down. But was always afraid it would make the tree die or put it off center and blow over with our winds. We had one blow over years ago from the wind because it was full of leaves and had wind and rain. Just a wonderin? That earthquake fault is at the Western end of TN...I live hours away, but a giant quake there would be felt here...This area has lots of limestone caves under it, and Son said this ridge would just flatten out, probably...Over near the fault line in MO. theres lots of sandy areas, which would just kinda turn into liquid, I heard. Well, I've lived in TN most of my 74 years, and have never felt more than a tremor or two.... Felt a pretty good one when I lived in Ill..I heard it coming..kind of a rumble....told everyone "I do believe we're having an earthquake !' Everyone else came up with various things they thought was causing the rolling noise, but I discounted all the obvious causes..turns out I was right....Awesome.....I could never live in an area that had lots of quakes....I have a sister and her clan living in Sikeston, MO and another sister getting ready to move there....So they would be almost dead center....Betty's farm is sand based...unlike their other properties a few miles away..I think she said the ground there was 'gumbo'...grows anything...I wonder if the sandy area came about when the earthquake happened that formed Reel foot Lake ? I've read quite a bit about it and know there were places where sand spewed into the air..formed sandy areas called 'sand blows'... Before I settle down for the night let me tell you about the "super full moon" that will rise in the East as the sun sets in the West. This will occur on Saturday, March 19th. This will be the largest full moon in almost 20 years. When it first comes up over the horizon you will get the feeling that you can reach out and touch it. I am going to let NASA tell you about the full moon since they do it much better than I can...besides I am about to fall asleep here. Click on the link in their message and read all about this full moon. There is a nice little video that comes with this so be sure and watch it. Maybe one way around this is something we use in the family, seems to work, a code symbol is made within our name. when it is there it is ours if not it maybe spam or a typo but it goes in the delete file and is cleared from the machine sometimes immediately. And my sons say never to put them on block out as this gives them a valid address. Seems they have some type of tracking equipment. One don did say on the phone problems , if you can do it before they answer tapping the pound key several time screws up their computer and erases your number. But I wonder how many thousand call centers are in this world.?? Bud.
When i was really new i opened a few i should not have and had it not have been for our Elaine i probably would not have gotten rid of the viruses i got. You see i thought Elaine could not get a virus so i kept emailing her. Makes me laugh to think about it. But take my word. Do Not Open Any Of Them because they are spam or virus. Viola.

Guess i would probably take honey away from my children if they got it as candy etc. For such a small area you would think every one is good. But we found out every one is not good and that makes it bad and hard for the good people!! My mentally handicapped sister went halloweening with her great neices in Audubon,MN. ca 300 people in whole city. But the neices had had their halloween party in school and they gave Dorothy some of their stuff. Now Dorothy was just chomping away on a cup cake when she yelled Ow. Of course every one jumped up and went to her and there was a common pin in that cup cake. My daughter called the sheriffs office and told them and they told her nothing could be done on that and hung up. Well my first cousin was a deputy there so my daughter called back and told them she thought some one should come for that and that the next time she called she would ask for deptuty 509 and they told her to go ahead and hung up again. Well she is pretty spunky and she called them back and talked to our cousin and he came within ten minutes. They took every thing down and said they would start with the school because it was probably there plus any one could have stuck a pin in any amount of them. But when he told her a 5 year old had put roofing and shingle nails in the teachers coffee pot it about floored her!!! Well the deputy who took our first and second call got written up. His excuse was he thought kids were pulling halloween pranks on him. He did not last to long in our area because he seemed to have a problem with young children and that does not work in our area. Viola
Our prayers are answered. Helen is back, in touch and moderately safe. 5000 aftershocks mean nearly hourly fear. I have lived in the zone and never experienced anything greater than a four. I am old enough, though not involved, my husband and brother in law were, and remember well both the scare and the worry atomic/hydrogen power can be. I won't po=po it but media does have a strong tendency to make it more dramatic than it is. One must deal with it calmly and with knowledge not news. If you noticed, in my opinion, those releases did not go very high thus most of the high radiation will be nearby and (opinion) ocean winds, not atmosphere winds. It will be a long and devastating restoration and that portion of Japan Is very COLD. Bud. the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

Can't imagine having to be in the situation that you are in. Our worst has been being without electricity in storms, one time for about four days. But again we live in northern Ca. Wouldn't have to worry about a snaumi, (sp) but have had earth quakes, and one one time that buckled roads in places. Of course we do have Shasta Lake north of us and the Sacramento river east about a mile and a half. So I know we are not really all that safe. Also a lake west of us about 15 miles or so. Things happen that you don't even think of. Stay safe and hope you don't have any more of this stuff going on. The New Madrid Fault and Mississippi Valley Earthquake in the 1800's was in the Tennessee area, wasn't it. I need to do some re-reading about it. We are in the middle of the worst hit area. We had no water, sewerage or power for 2 weeks. We still have to boil all our drinking water. We lost our chimney & had a leaking roof. all the roads were buckled & we have lost most of our beautiful heritage buildings because of it.Love Helen http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mbousman1/memory.htm ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to MEMORY-LANE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
