You got that right ! The TV was acting up..said it was going to cut off because it was recording...wasn't.....Papa couldn't find the proper buttons , so I suggested Buzz try...Papa was properly scornful. but Buzz had heard his name so he walked over, looked at the remote about a millisecond and said' Push that button then push the blue one...NO ! The blue one." Papa did and it worked perfectly...Buzz strolled away...no big deal to him.... He looked at that map several times, folded it easily every time. If only he can a make a good living with that giant brain.....Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Wed, 1 Jun 2011 00:01:25 -0500 "Jerrian" <jerrian.barsness@gmail.com> writes: > Yeah, I have tried to follow the lines too. Buzz is used to getting notes from the tooth Fairy, as well as money....Brush your teeth, etc..The notes are typed then printed in such tiny letters he must read them with a magnifying glass, etc...We didn't get too artistic at all.....What toys he gets here ..except maybe holiday ones..... are bought at yard sales...You'd be surprised how many toys you can get for a dollar...Especially when he drools over something I won't buy him and they give it to him. Interesting fact, my Renfrew ancestors were also from Virginia. Neighbors to George Washington. Taught Washington to survey. We are probably cousins. My Renfrews came to Virginia through Barbados. Among the first settlers of Jamestown. I consider myself a true American. Jamestown was settled before the Pilgrims ever planned their voyage. But, I am also very proud to be a Scot. Being Scot is what gave my family the backbone to survive the settling of America. On Tue, May 31, 2011 at 8:25 PM, hsachet <hsachet@wvi.com> wrote: > Lana, I'm stewart too. My family is DNA matched to the Stewarts. They stopped using the Stewart name when they fled Scotland. They took the name of the Stewart family home. We came to the Americas as Renfrew. Taken from Renfrewshire Scotland. The home of the Stewarts. We had the oral history, DNA proved our connection to the Stewarts. My youngest daughter looks like she walked right out of Scotland. Red hair, freckles, but my husband was also Scot. His family ties are MacIntosh. The Moyes are still chief of the MacIntosh clan. They are from the Inverness, Scotland area. Funny thing is the Stewarts and the MacIntosh clan were always at war with each other. we like to think that with our daughter the two clans joined. She is a wonderful, amazing person. Very much a highlander! On Tue, May 31, 2011 at 8:25 PM, hsachet <hsachet@wvi.com> wrote: > Lana, I'm stewart too. My ancestor was a John Stewart in colonial > Virginia. I know my words cannot offer much comfort but please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May all the good memories you have of Dick help mend your heart and ease your sorrow. Audrey C. In a message dated 5/29/2011 12:39:36 P.M. Central Daylight Time, wallace80@comcast.net writes: It is with a very heavy heart that I report that my husband of almost 64 years passed Friday about 9:45 at home with all of his family around his bed. He has been going down hill from CHF and renal failure for about six months and lately had not been able to do much besides take care of himself-with a lot of help from me. I have been his full time nurse for about the last 4 months. We went to his nephrologist the previous Friday and he told him to think about diaysis. He was very weak Sat and Sunday and Monday , with my son we made the decision to call 911. He was in the hospital 3 days, came home to hospice and had a peaceful death in about 36 hours. I had to call my daugher to come home from Germany where she was on a very belated honeymoon, my wonderful gandson in law who is a computor whiz with Apple got all the family back. I am blessed with a very loving caring family. Three children, four grand children and their spouses. We are having a memorial service next Sat at our church where he gave and gave and spent some of the happiest hours of his retirement. My birthday was the 25th, and I put my ear down to his mouth and he sang happy birthday to me. I had asked God to let him live though that day, and He gave me 2 more days. I will be reading the list, and post when I get my head on straight. I told him I was going to bed on Thursday night and that I loved him, and whispered "I love you" His last words on earth. Lots of wonderful memories. For Richard O. Gathman 2-10-26 to 5-27-11. Thanks to all of you e-mail friends. He wiggled it a couple times and it popped out into his hand. He looked at it like " How'd that happen ?" I handed him a paper towel and he touched it to his mouth and wailed' Iiieieiei ! I'm Bleeeeding !! " I told him not to worry about it , and since one drop of blood was all he saw he recovered...Ran out the door to tell everyone his news...I asked if the other kids were impressed and he seemed disappointed...Said Christian was the only kid outside and he just said ' Awesome !' and that was all....Did he call home with this little bombshell ? Neither of us thought about it...... He asked me yesterday if I believed in Santa Claus....I told him son Richards theory, as long as you believe in him he will bring you presents...He said some kids didn't believe, etc....Son still 'believes' in the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy......Works for him ! *grin* Jeannie T ____________________________________________________________ Get Free Email with Video Mail & Video Chat! http://www.juno.com/freeemail?refcd=JUTAGOUT1FREM0210

I try not to remember to much some times as it makes me sad, But- I know I had great great etc uncles and cousins in the reveloutionary war and the civil war. WW1 I don't know that much about but know there was one uncle there and he came back. Thank god, a great man, played lap steel guitar and never married. Just always lived close to his brothers family, WW2 was a different story. I think all my cousins were in, one P38 pilot that was shot down over Italy and the underground help get him out. His brother was a medic in Burma. Then there were my brothers. Johnny a radioman and gunner in a dive bomber off the USS Enterprise in the early days of the war in the south Pacific. 17 years old. Just cann't imagine when I look at the 17 yr. olds these days, Another brother on the USS Iowa a battle ship in the Atlantic and the South Pacific. My oldest brother Bill, my rock, electrician on the USS Attu. He didn't see quite as much action as the other two. He lived close by to us and was the one I could always ask for help and he wold be there. They all came back, but a couple messed up some because of the things that went on at that age. They have all passed now, but there isn't a day goes by that they aren't on my mind. A nephew in VietNam, lost his legs. Has had a rough life since then. My grandson is in the navy now and will be in for the 20 years, six more years to go. All the boys overseas now, I just can't imagine. Alot of them are so young, the problem between this war and WW2, is all the country was behind it, where now it is a different feeling. I think it has got better because they have had more on TV about the boys that have come back and have showed how they have been injured and all. What they are going through. Then we should never forget the wives that have to take care of those fellows that have the injurys. Life is so different from what they imagined it would be when they got married. Almost forgot a nephew that seved over in Iraq and also a niece that did two times in Afghanastan. Drove this big thing, and they were hit twice. But she survived, all that has to do something to your mind. Will be a hard life for alot of them. I think they need to put more on the TV about the ones that don't come back. You may hear so many were killed in something that day. But then there is the sorrow of them coming home. The familys that have to go through this. So sad. I don't think I will ever forget the movie they made of the Sullivan brothers that were all on the same ship and it was sunk in WW2. I don't think after that they let all serve on the same ship. Of course I was only 10 when the war started and it was really impressed in my mind. I remember the air raid drills. We went out and stood under a tree on the playground. Like if the school was hit that tree would save us. But we didn't have that here thank god for that. I hope I havn't bored any one on this day, some times I get going and don't know where to stop Louise in Ca.
