My Moses and John Meeks were from Marion Co. Tenn. to Carroll Co Ar. in 1832. Then to Texas in the late 1840.s. They are on the Milam Co. Texas 1850 census. Moses Meeks was scalped and killed by Indians in 1852 in Bell Co. Texas...Jeremiah Meeks and Betsy Blevins were thier parents married in Blount Co Tenn. in 1802. This family was in Stone Co. Mo. in 1870 on the census of Flat Creek. Other Children were Lewis and Squire, who fought in the Civil War and for the Union. There is another Meek family with simular names and near same births that were in Texas at the same time....Ellis and Johnson Co., One Moses and John and Christopher Meeks. This Moses married Artimissa Davison and lived to be a old man and didnot have children . This Meeks family sisters married into the Tidwells...in Texas. Do you have this info? Glynda
