Thomas Meek is listed as having been in what became Augusta County, Va. [Chalkley I, 200] His son David Meeks married Elizabeth. David probably was born 1690-1700. He died intestate. [ibid] His children listed in a suit were Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Sally. Family tradition says that Rebecca Meeks married Samuel Black in 1720. This listing says it was Nancy Meeks. Finally, in Rebecca Meeks Black's will [Chalkley III, 250] she lists some of the same children as Samuel and some other children.
