Meek b. 1846 Laura Meek b. 1848 I know nothing more about George Washington Meek except that he had Uncles Joseph L. Meek and Stephen Meek who were mountain men and much has been written about them. My ancestor was and aunt to your Spicey Walker Meek, her name was Dicey Walker and she married a Peter Brunberry (Brimberry). I am interested in your Arkansas and Texas ancestors as my Brimberry/Beard side lived in Logan Co., Franklin Co., Ark. and Williamson Co. Texas. I also come down through a John Meek of Va. whose daughter Mary Meek married William Sharp Sr. of Va. and I am trying to connect these Meeks. John Meek would have had to have been a brother of Joseph Meek, Sr. or a cousin perhaps. Would appreciate any information. John Meeks other daughter was bound out to a Walker from the same area of Virginia. Please Read "The Meek Family of Washington County, Virginia" by Danny Morris Fluhart.
