Surnames: Doloff/Dolloff, Kimball, Foster Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JEB.2ACE/542 Message Board Post: I am searching for any information out there regarding my 5th G-Grandmother, Rosanna Doloff/Dolloff, who was born 15 Feb 1792 in Lyman, York Co., Maine, and married Stephen Granville Kimball (son of Ensign Kimball and Hannah Granville). Rosanna died 2 Mar 1853 in Tamworth, Carroll Co., New Hampshire. What little info I have on her came from "History of the Kimball Family in America - Vol II" by Leonard Allison Morrison. Stephen and Rosanna Kimball had eight children: 1. Ensign Kimball (my 4th G-Grandfather), b. 7 Oct 1818 in Chelsea, Suffolk Co., MA, d. 9 Dec 1883 in Revere, Suffolk Co., MA, married (1) Mary Elizabeth Pratt 29 Feb 1842, married (2) Lucretia Pratt 9 Apr 1854; 2. John N. Kimball, b. 30 May 1820 in Eaton, NH; 3. Joseph Kimball, b. 5 Jun 1822 in Eaton, NH, d. 30 Mar 1875, married Melissa Glines; 4. Abner Doloff Kimball, b. 30 May 1824, d. 2 Mar 1855, married Roxanna Caldwell; 5. Stephen Kimball, b. 17 Nov 1825 in NH, d. 13 May 1885, married Ellen Unknown; 6. Enoch H. Kimball, b. 5 Feb 1829 in Tamworth, Carroll Co., NH, d. 26 Nov 1829 in Tamworth, Carroll Co., NH; 7. Rosanna Kimball, b. 18 Mar 1831in Tamworth, Carroll Co., NH, married William Henry Bennett; 8. James Kimball, b. 11 Feb 1836 in Eaton, NH, d. 31 Jan 1858 in Tamworth, Carroll Co., NH. Since one of their children was named Abner Doloff Kimball, I decided to go out on a limb and began looking into the possibility of Rosanna being related to an Abner Doloff/Dolloff. I found an Abner Dolloff who was born Abt. 1780 in Maine, and married Rebecca Foster Abt. 1812 in Maine. It appears that they may have both been from Gray, Cumberland Co., Maine, but I have seen conflicting info there. This is purely speculation on my part, but I believe that my Rosanna Doloff/Dolloff may be the sister of this Abner Dolloff, or at least that she is related to him somehow. For one thing, it appears that Abner and Rebecca Dolloff had a daughter named Rosanna Dolloff, who was born 25 Oct 1814 in Maine (it appears she was born in Gray, Cumberland, ME, but again, I have seen conflicting info.) From what I have found thus far, Abner and Rebecca's daughter Rosanna married Shephel Foster 17 Jan 1836 in Gray, Cumberland, ME, and died 23 Mar 1890. If anyone has any info about Rosanna Doloff/Dolloff Kimball, or about this particular Abner Dolloff's parents/siblings, PLEASE e-mail me! I have searched everywhere and so far have turned up nothing!
