    3. Virginia - Not sure if any of this is going to help or not, but, here's some things: Bride's Name Bride's Residence Groom's Name Groom's Residence Marriage Date Certificate Guptill Annie L Westbrook, ME Webber Herbert C Westbrook, ME October 28 , 1901 0 Name: Herbert C. Webber Serial Number: 1230555 Birth Place: Portland, Maine Age: 41 8/12 years Residence: Gorham Comment: Enl: NG Westbrook, June 29/17. Reported for Federal Serv: July 25/17. Ck Aug. 20/17; Pvt Sept. 15/18; Mec Sept. 15/18. Org: Btry B 1 HFA Me NG to Feb. 13/18; Co M 56 Pion Inf to disch. Eng: Meuse-Argonne. Overseas: Sept. 4/18 to June 22/19. Hon disch on demob: June 24, 1919. Roster~Navy I can place John and wife Annie being alive atleast until 1930 census. Herbert's wife was a widow by then. It seems that Herbert was Annie's second husband, so, the name she married him under is not her maiden name. Their are two children living with them in 1910 that have the same name as her name at marriage. I'm not finding Herbert and Annie in 1920 no matter what I try. Hope this helps your friend.
