I was looking for Charles Coombs around 1830's - 1860's. I noticed on the 1850 census that he had a daughter named Caroline. My husband's ggrandfather's wife was Caroline C. Coombs. They were married in 1848. She was born in Belmont, ME abt. 1828. Belmont's records burned in 1865. I am trying to tie into Coombs. In 1828 Belmont, there was a tax record for Charles, he is in the 1830 Belmont census. After 1830 gone from Belmont. Thank you. Carol Blaisdell
