    3. Hi Liz, Thanks for posting this! I maintain a database of descendants of Westport Island pioneer families. This list is a nice snapshot of who was on the island at that time. Would you please copy/re-post this to: MELINCOL-L@rootsweb.com <MELINCOL-L@rootsweb.com> as I imagine you would find a very appreciative audience on the Lincoln County list. 1. [MECUMBER] LUCAS of Deering, ME, 1880 census
    2. Liz Tat
    3. Hi Folks! I am looking to connect with any descendents of James and Celistia (POWERS)LUCAS who were living in Deering, Cumberland, ME during the 1880 census. James is listed with the following sons: William J., Augustus, and Charles L. There is also a woman by the name of Abbie KAIN LUCAS living with him and his family. She is listed as "other" relation to him. I don't have access to later census' at this time. He owns a brick yard at the time of the census. Is there such a thing as a business directory for this time and place? His place of birth is listed as Scotland, although I have documentation that he may have been born in Ireland. He is 42 at the time of the census. I have found one of his grandsons, James Callendar LUCAS--son of Augustus Hamil & Maggie Jane(CALLENDAR) LUCAS. He died in 1980 in Westbrook, Cumberland, ME. I am especially interested in finding more information about his son, Ira Powers Lucas, b. abt. 1874 in Deering, ME(He must have been born after the 1880 census). I have never been able to locate his birth certificate. He married Grace Mabel HALL in 1906 in Rochester, NH and had a second marriage to Rosa MARDEN. Thanks for any help! 3. Dear List, I have an unusual request. Recently I discovered an unknown branch of my Dunfield family tree and was able to trace it down to a living descendant in Gorham ME. I would love to share the family tree with this person and have tried to contact him. There is no listed phone number and the address that I got from People Search is no longer correct. My letter was returned. I wonder if there is someone on the list from Gorham or nearby who could help me find this person and/or who might be related to him. Please contact me off list for details if you're willing to help. Sandra in Switzerland

Surnames: Bunker, Hall, Toothaker Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JEB.2ACE/313 Message Board Post: I'm looking for information about Benjamin Bunker who was in the Harpsville/Brunswick area at least between 1739 when he was sued for debt in both towns and 1752 when he signed the petition to form a new county. I suspect his wife may have been a daughter of Isaac Hall I who moved to Harpswell from Boston about 1737. Isaac had children Isaac II, Mercy (Mrs. Ebenezer Toothaker), Nathaniel, Joseph and John also living in Harpswell at this time. Isaac Hall III named my ggg-grandfather Benjamin Hall, a name which does not appear elsewhere in the family, and Benjamin named my gg-grandfather Isaac Bunker Hall. On the 1852 petition to form a new county, Benjamin Bunker's name appears with a few names of the above Hall's and their in-laws.
