Someone I know from other Lists just told me about your posting. I have been researching the KIDDER name for 8-9 years. The first in my line to head to Maine was Calvin KIDDER who first went to New Brunswick ~1783. He died in an accident in 1799, a week or so after his only child was born. His son, J. Calvin KIDDER started the Kidder tree which was involved in Princeton, Calais, and Amity, ME. Could you tell me a little more about Charles and Anna KIDDER so that I can see if I know about them? (Betty, near Lowell, MA)

    1. [MECUMBER] BARKER family
    2. Larry Wise
    3. Does anyone know of a William BARKER from Maine who left the state between 1820- 1840? My g-g-grandfather William BARKER was born in Maine about 1800 and moved to Cobb Co Georgia (just NW of Atlanta.) The only census I have found him in was 1860 where he was in Cobb Co GA with his family- wife Nancy (Dobbs) BARKER, sons Daniel W & Andrew and daughters Miranda and Louisa (aka Eliza.) William's wife was born in GA and his children were born in GA from 1841-1848 (plus son William born in 1861.) I am trying to connect William BARKER to his Maine roots.Anyone researching BARKER families in Maine? Anyone have a Maine ancestor who moved to Georgia between 1820-1850? I suspect some other friends or relatives might have moved to GA with William butI have been unable to find any links yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Larry Wise Florida _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JEB.2ACE/258.2.1 Message Board Post: Ed - Thanks for the reply. I have heard of that book but have been unable to get a copy through the library system. I had resigned myself to the fact that I might need to go to Iowa to actually get the details ! Do you have an actual copy of the book? If so could I trouble you to send me a copy of the passage? My address is Kathy Friguletto 233 Teller Rd. Trumbull CT, 06611. It's always so nice to meet new relatives. If you're interested I have an old small portrait of Gad Hitchcock, George Angier's father. He is the son of Dr. Gad Hitchcock who, along with his father fought in the Revolutionary War. If you're interested I can scan and email or reproduce on my computer and send your way. Also - if you're looking for any of the info on George's line I have info back to Luke Hitchcock who settled in Connecticut in the 1600's. Have a good weekend. Kathy
