    3. Sherrie and all - Thank you for your defense of my LINK to the card. Believe me, one negative comment is nothing compared to all the people who emailed me back that they had sent it along to all their other lists as well as all of their friends. As I told Norma, privately, it was my way of thinking of all those who've helped me or I've helped over the last year, heaven knows, we can't remember everyone we do a look-up for. Having said that, let's end this business and enjoy the hoildays! Let's hope the new year brings some wonderful search results! I know I received an early Christmas present from a kind soul in England breaking through a 15 year brick wall! Never, ever give up looking! Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night! Take care - Deb >From: "Sherrie" <curecf@prexar.com> >To: MECUMBER-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [MECUMBER] Merry Christmas >Date: Mon, 22 Dec 2003 14:05:02 -0500 >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Received: from lists2.rootsweb.com ([207.40.200.39]) by mc6-f26.hotmail.com >with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.6713); Tue, 23 Dec 2003 05:34:40 -0800 >Received: (from slist@localhost)by lists2.rootsweb.com (8.12.8/8.12.8) id >hBNDXx6R001578;Tue, 23 Dec 2003 06:33:59 -0700 >X-Message-Info: coCD+sXUbIyHefETXR4e8JC9J/WkBa+4 >Resent-Date: Tue, 23 Dec 2003 06:33:59 -0700 >X-Original-Sender: curecf@prexar.com Tue Dec 23 06:33:58 2003 >Message-ID: <006d01c3c8be$8100a370$c123a78e@sherryscomputer> >Old-To: <MECUMBER-L@rootsweb.com> >References: <000c01c3c8a0$984224a0$cce9e442@pavilion> >X-MSMail-Priority: Normal >X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1158 >X-MIMEOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1165 >X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.38 >Resent-Message-ID: <pAywuB.A.cY.HRE6_@lists2.rootsweb.com> >Resent-From: MECUMBER-L@rootsweb.com >X-Mailing-List: <MECUMBER-L@rootsweb.com> archive/latest/1146 >X-Loop: MECUMBER-L@rootsweb.com >Precedence: list >Resent-Sender: MECUMBER-L-request@rootsweb.com >Return-Path: MECUMBER-L-request@rootsweb.com >X-OriginalArrivalTime: 23 Dec 2003 13:34:40.0647 (UTC) >FILETIME=[845D1170:01C3C959] > >Well I for one didn't get an attachment, I got a link, and while it's true >this is a genealogy list....gee whiz it's also Christmas, in the spirit of >the holiday I think it's sad if we can't let a few well wishes and an >occasional link to a lovely card from list members slide through..lighten >up >folks! >~ Sherrie >P.S. 2. The only Thomas Jackson marriage listed in that time period was Thomas E. Jackson of Portland married to Elizabeth Dickson of New York, Maine, on Sept. 12, 1911. The record may have gotten the middle initial wrong or the marriage took place in New Hampshire. Hope this helps.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JEB.2ACE/536 Message Board Post: My great grandfather is listed in the Census of 1910 in Turner, Maine. His name was Thomas H. Jackson, born 1851 in Chester, Nova Scotia. He is listed as an 'extra hand' at a lumber camp. Any information on him or the camp would be appreciated. He married an "Elizabeth" in either Maine or New Hampshire, I believe after 1910. I don't know where they were married. I have a photo of him taken in Rochester, NH, date unknown.
