Hi All, While I was in the DAR Library in Washington D.C. a few weeks ago, I saw a more than 16 volume set of books titled The Meador Family by Katherine Reynolds. The books focus on the Texas Meadors. Her address is 1605 Banks, Houston Texas 77006. If you are in the D.C. area, it would be well worth your time to spend some time at the DAR library. I don't think Kathryn Reynolds is still living....I could be wrong---but I know someone told me that she had passed away and all her papers were given to Clayton Library in Houston. They are all on microfilm from Salt Lake City...you can get them from local FHCs. They are very useful, as her letters from Victor P. Meador, Mr. Nunnelly, etc., are all included---sadly, her replies are not included; that would be a real gold mine!! She must have been the leading collector and researcher of the Meador family--all branches, even though she was of the Jason Meador/Sarah Moberley line. That's interesting. She did a huge amount of work and it is a fine reference. Mom is mentioned in one of the last volumes. Mom's Grandmother was Lucy Boothe ( 4 Feb 1845, 2 28 Dec 1911) who was the wife of George Henry Meador (b 1 Sep 1838, d 8 Feb 1904). Does anyone have data on the Boothe line. In my Pearce work going back to R.I. in the 1600s, I have seen some Boothe names.
