Robin, We see so many of your postings as of late, and it's quite evident that you're bound and determined to 'dig up' all of the early American Meadors (please pardon the pun). Being a Meador cousin who is quite curious to know the facts, but too young (41) to be able to freely travel for research, I wanted to take the time to thank you for taking precious time out of your schedule to make the effort. Hey Cuz, Long time no talk to. I see some things in here that may or may not be correct, by my findings at Essex County. you wrote: A. Thomas BOURNE, b. ABT 1710. B. Ann BOURNE, b. ABT 1710. She married Thomas MEADOWS Jr., b. 1711 in Essex Co., VA, (son of Thomas MEADOWS and Elizabeth WOOD) d. 1776. 1. Thomas MEADOWS Jr., b. ABT 1736. 2. Francis MEADOWS Sr., b. ABT 1730 in Virginia. He married Mary BELL, married ABT 1753 in Essex Co., VA, b. ABT 20 NOV 1736 in Orange Co., VA, (daughter of John BELL) d. BEF 1818 in Virginia. Francis died ABT 1792 in Rockingham Co., VA. >From Robin....NOTE: Everyone still has Francis Meadows with wife Mary Bell. Have no evidence that he married Mary Bell. PS, plan to make a trip soon to clear this up hopefully. I have found over 50 entries today of the Meadows AKA at Essex County. There were so many that I only had enough time to grab 1 thing that will be of great interest to many of us, but my research has only just begun. I looked at three indexes today only, Essex has more, with names upon names. Can everyone say JACKPOT. Maybe once I get these documents we will all know the truth about who belongs to who. YES, plenty on Ambrose, Thomas, and John. Guess what, there is a John with wife Ann. Did anyone know this? And I found Will's of many. There is Ann Will's and so on. More than one Ann. So much to go through. Francis Meador, everyone knows him. I got a WILL today. This is the document I couldn't leave behind. I so need a scanner. I need a scanner really bad. Anyway, just for copies, it will be 50 cents a page. And then to certify it, it is either 2.50 or 5.00 each, can't remember. So my collection will be slow, but it will happen. O, it is either a deed or P-ATTNY for Joane Meador that I found today. I was happy to see this one. Did not know what to do with John and Joane. I have the index lists, some I wrote, some I got copies. Can't wait to share. Talk with you all soon, Robin --- SuttaFran2@aol.com wrote: > > In a message dated 8/10/2005 3:41:17 A.M.
