I hope this will help someone. I don't know if this information is confirmed or not but maybe it will be a guideline for those researching these names. Compliments of list members.... this James Meadows that I mentioned probably was born in Warren Co North Carolina this is all the info. that I have on him. Isham Meadows Jr. moved via Georgia to Alabama about 1840 as far as I know he took all his family with him (its possible James Meadows could have moved to Virginia). I have other information that I have not viewed for a while, if I run across anything more on James Meadows I will let you know I have been able to go back to James R. Meadows b.6/2/1832 Prince Edward County,VA d 2/3/1909 married Elizabeth W. Colly b. abt 1820. Trying to find parents could this Isham been his father I see you have listed the name James. > > > IS THERE A CONNECTION BETWEEN THESE FAMILYS? > > > > > > AMERICAN ANCESTRY OF THE ISHAM FAMILY > > HENRY ISHAM =KATHERN BANKS ROYALL > > > > HENRY ISHAM BORN 1627 England son of William Isham and > > Mary Brett came to Virginia in 1664 settled in Bermuda Hundred, Charles City co where he was Justice, Major of Militia, and opeated a store, he died ca 1676. > > Ref: HILL COUNTRY OF EARLY CENTRAL TEXAS PAGE 132. > > > > ISHAM MEADOWS, JR.
