Oma, Giles Co., Va., married Reuben French Josiah Meador served under Capt. Joseph Renfro and later he was with the expedition of George rogers Clark into the Illinois country in 1778. After that he was with the American Army at Yorktown in charge of the British prisoners captured there. He was a fighting missionary Baptist minister, locating on the Bluestone River at the mouth of the Little Bluestone. From this Josiah, the soldier-preacher, has descended the large family in this region. His sons were Turner, William, John and Josiah, Jr. ___________________________________________________________ JESSE MEADOR --- b. c 1745, Caroline Co., Va., d. Estate being settled in Cumberland Co., Va. in 1812. Father Jonas Meador, Sr., m. Frances, married Martha Johns, b. c 1747, d. Will dated Sept 3, 1821, probated Feb. 27, 1832, Cumberland Co., Va. " Martha Meador Robinson had one child, Elizabeth Johns Robertson b. 14, Sept 1814, d. July 17, 1879.
