Last night I came across Alvin F. Summers (b. 1824 in TN) living in Ellis Co. TX. on the 1890 Census fragment. Because I have a mind like a steel trap (think Jethro Bodine/Beverly Hillbillies ;)) a mere 12 hours later I thought to look for Alvin on the 1900 Census and there he was...living with my Melvina Meadors in Ellis County, TX and he's her father! I don't know what I am most embarrassed about, A. The fact that it took so long for me to figure this out or B. How excited I was to find it! So, I now know that Melvina E. Summers married Louis Meadors. Her fathers name is Alvin Franklin Summers and he was born in TN and is buried in Midlothian Cem. in Texas. I "know" that there is a connection between The Parker's of Smith Co, TN (Dempsey and Francis) and my Franks and Meadors families of Texas. I have so much information on the Parkers (thanks to cousin, Connie Sims), but there is no mention of the Summers/Meadors families. Do any of these names sound familiar to anyone? I'm really hoping this made sense. Lisa
