All we have had as a record for our family was the old "Martin Record" written by Walter Martin which states Wm. married a Susannah Tudor. Many of the family have searched for years with no luck to find the two back in Va. where supposedly they came from. I found the material by Victor Paul Meador which accepts our Wm. as the husband of Susannah Meador. I can accept and want to accept this information; but, I need documentation to back it up. These are my fourth great grandparents. I own a farm which was part of Wm.'s grandson, Alamander Martin's farm. I've lived on Beaver Creek where the family were early settlers most of my life. I want to locate and document who Wm. and Susannah are and what happened to them, where they were from 1782 to 1808 when they buy property from a Morgan in Fl. Co., Ky. No one that the family knows about has ever been able to tell us more than the time period back to 1806. That is what I am trying to find. Wm. and Susannah Meador married in Bedford County, Va. on 12-3-1782. I have a copy of the marriage record. There is a mistake in the names of their children. Mildred refers to Milly who married James Martin. These are my third great grandparents also. Daniel should be David, my third great grandfather. No records have been found of his three marriages. There is nothing in Fl. County, Ky on these marriages. If you have any other information I would really appreciate it if you would share with me.
