My records indicate Joel Meador, born 13 Dec 1801 in VA., was the son of Joseph Meador and Sarah Divers, not the son of Jonas Meador and Clarrissa Watts. Joel died 5 Dec 1844 in Morgan Co MO where he is buried along side his wife Agnes McGeorge, son Thomas W. and daughter Mary Josephine. His other children include: Maria Frances, b. 31 Oct 1831, md. Daniel Ross in Morgan Co MO Sarah Meador, b. 6 Oct 1833; may have md. Peter Taylor in Morgan Co MO William Henry Meador, b. 26 May 1835 Thomas W. Meador, 5 Mar 1837 - 10 Oct 1851 (Morgan Co MO) Harriet Powell, 13 Dec 1839 - 12 Jul 1912 (Waurika, OK); md. Moses Nimrod Sevier in Cooke Co TX Mary Josephine, 23 Dec 1841 - 6 Aug 1864 (Morgan Co MO.) My line of descent is through Harriet Powell and Moses N. Sevier.
