Hello Cousins, All about 1820 Census of VA. First of all I would like to start with Francis Meadows. Francis Madows shows up in the 1820 Census of Monroe Co as being SR and JR. However, there is a Francis Meadows in Kanawha Co VA now WV. I just posted not long ago that Francis of Kanawha became a Post Master 1830's. Who is our mystery man, Francis of Kanawha? Benjamin of all kinds. There are one of SR and JR Meador in Franklin Co. Also there is Benjamin in Bedford Co. No mention in this census of JR "ASSUMING" this is a SR. There are several Richards... Maddo, Richard of IW which I assume is Isle of Wight Co. There is a Richard Meadow of Bedford Co. There are several Jessee men. Jesse Meddow of Cumberland Co. Jessee of Giles Co. Wilson Medow of Bedford Co. Several Jeremiah men. There is of Bedford Co. (wondering if SR died) and there is of Greenbrier Co. Did the JR of Bedford Co. move to Greenbrier which would make the one in Bedford the SR still living? Or is Jeremiah of Greenbrier a different man all together? Mathew men. Mathew from Kanawha Co and one that is in Monroe Co. Osborne shows up in Edw. I think this is Prince Edward Co but don't know. Nathaniel is in Ibg. Co. Several Philip men. One in Monroe Co and one in Din. Co. Austin, Leroy, Drusillah, Gabriel, Isaac, Ephraim, Lucy, Lawson, Obediah ,Turner. Some of the hard to find names "brickwalls".
