Do you know Goolsberry Meador's brother's and sister's names? I'm looking for the parents of Lewis Wesley Meador, b. about 1817 in Tennessee. He married Lucinda M. Cowden on 9 March 1837 in Sumner County, TN. They were living in Allen County, KY, just across the TN/KY state line by 1840. Lewis Wesley Meador died in Allen County in April of 1870. The 1850 Allen County, KY census shows two females in Lewis Meador's household, apparently his sisters. Their names: Jane and Susan. I have a Amy Dowden m. Joel Joseph Meador March 1830 in Sumner co. TN. She may be kin to your Lucinda M. Cowden. Thank for your help. I also found that Amy Cowden married Joel Joseph Meador in Sumner County, TN. According to a transcript of William Cowden, Jr.'s will he had a daughter named Amey and a daughter named Lucy. I've never been able to identify Lucy, but wonder if she was Lucinda M. Cowden who married Lewis Wesley Meador in Sumner County on 9 Mar 1837.
