The following are the Awbreys/Aubreys in my file and their relationship to me: Ann Aubrey 1678-Oct. 17,1721 Essex Co., VA, 2nd wife of John Meador Sr. 1659 to November 21, 1721 Essex Co., VA. married Dec. 16. 1694. She is my 8th greatgrandmother. She is the above Dorothy's sister-in-law. Henry Awbrey, 2nd husband of Sarah Hoskins 1637-1682, widow of Thomas Meador Jr.1635-Apr 1662. Henry and Sarah were married about 1662. I show no children for Sarah and Henry. He was my 9thgreatstepgrandfather. He was Dorothy's step father. I will search my Meador books and see what else I can find on the Awbreys/Aubreys. Patrick, Would you be willing to give your source for the marriage of John Meador Sr to Ann Aubrey? I've seen many Meador researchers (of this line) who claim there is no basis for this, and that the only connection is through the marriage of Sarah Hoskins to Henry Aubrey/Awbrey. It would be great to have the proof of it. Also, I show the date of death for John Meador Sr as 14 May 1721, where you have 21 Nov 1721...could it be that the May date was the date of the will, Nov the date of death....or perhaps May the date of death & Nov the date of Probate..? They're so close together, I'd wonder if that might be the case....
