Victor Paul Meador states in his book that this Obediah was the son of Mary Ann Meador who was the daughter of Joshua Joel Meador of Amelia County, VA. His documentation of that fact is unsatisfactory to me. Do you have any documents to suggest that Joel had a daughter named Mary Ann? And that Mary Ann had a son named Obediah who married a Prudence Wells? I have been stuck at this point for a long time!
