A Josiah Meador born 1736 in Carolina County, Virginia, married 1757 in Carolina, County, Virginia to Levine Moody , died 1792 in Starkey, Roanoke County, Virginia. I don't know if he was a preacher or not he had a son name Josiah Jr. born on February 06, 1758. Josiah Sr. was my Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather. The 1860 census for Greenup County, Ky list a Joab Meadows his wife was Hannah Miner. This same family was in in Floyd County, KY on the 1850 census. Ross Bluefield Daily Telegraph ROCK - Reba R. Ross, 85, of Rock, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Mercer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bluefield. Born July 7, 1926 at Pipestem, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Ocie Ann Meador Wood. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, crafts and quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Ross in 1981; one sister, June Farley; and one brother, Elbert Edward Wood. Survivors include one son, Billy Joe Ross and wife Rachel of Lashmeet; one daughter, Gloria Jean Spann of Lutz, Fla.; one sister, Jean Witt of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Robert Ray Wood of Lashmeet; three grandchildren, Amanda Keller and husband Ronald of Pembroke, Va., James Ross and wife Christi of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Anthony Wiley of Tampa, Fla.; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Reverend Randolph Dishner officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Lashmeet.
