I've been told that Jonas wife was either Polly Robinson/Robertson or Elizabeth Bondurant, but I haven't been able to find a source for either woman. Spence or Malinda C. Meador (husband/wife). Theodore was born in 1811 in South Carolina and Malinda was born in 1818 in North Carolina. They were married in 1835 in Sumter Co.,AL and appear in the 1850 census in Bluff Port Sumter,AL. That is the last record of Malinda. Theodore then shows up in the 1860 census in Belton, Bell Co., Texas with the four youngest children. I also found where my gr-grandfather George M. Spence enlisted in the CSA in Belton, Bell Co., Texas. On the same page of the 1850 census is Reason Meador as well as James Curry/Mary Meador Curry. Could Malinda be a child of Modecai? Here is the data I have on Joanna's Meador lineage.: George Henry Meador (b 1 September 1838, d 8 Feb 1904 - Lucy Ann Booth Nathaniel Meador (b 19 September 1818, d 28 May 1862) - Sarah Turner and Katherine Perdue Eli Meador (b 1787, d 1846) - Sarah (Sarah) Turner Isham Meador (b 20 March 1762, d 2 March 1849) - Biddy Bradshaw and Martha Craighead. Joel Meador (b 1728, d 1789) - Frances, Agnes, and Susannah Clark. Jonas Meador ( b 1700) - Frances John Meader Thomas Meader, Jr. Thomas Meader, Sr. The lack of good Proof Documents showing that Isham Meador (b 1762, d 1840) and Bitty (Bradshaw) Meador's son was Eli Meador (b 1787, d 1847) is one if the biggest problems in validating the Meador lineage. Does anyone have sources for this relationship? Also, does anybody have any data on the Meador folk coming from England? I'll gladly share all my Meador and Henbest data.
