I was in a antique book store today. I found books with our ancestors. I bought one book and there are two more and I am still not finished looking. Bell this is a second edition print first one is 1932 in the VA State Library Meddows, John, Junr., died April 18, 1706 Meddows, John, Senr., died Jan. 9, 1707 Meddus Elizabeth, died August 17, 1694 Meddus, Sarah, died April 8, 1705 Charles Parish was located in... York Co. VA If anyone wants look-ups for other family names, please email me and I will look for you. I do not know if anyone ever did research in York County VA for the Meadows clan. My gg gram Aurelie Masson (Orilla Mason) used the name Meader for my g grandfather's middle name. She was born ABT 1839-1842 (never could make up her mind)...her death cert in 1929 reads father Joseph Mason...mother Nancy ? (with the question mark) I am not finding a Meader connection on her husbands side. There is a very good possibilty she may have had Native American ancestry...appears to be wearing moccasins and blanket in picture in 1927.

I am a descendant from Hubbard son of Jedu Meador, Jr. Hubbard married Mary Martha Bradley. They lived in Cumberland County, VA. Their son, Robert James married Lucy Robinson, in 1847. They had the following children: George, Edward,Hubbard James, Mary Ann and Lucy. Lucy married Richard David White and they had the following daughter, Myra and Mabel. Myra is my grandmother who married Harvvey Stokes Reams from Powhatan County, VA. If mayone can give me more information I would appreicate this a great deal. Looking forward to hearing more.

Virginia Will Records, Will Book 11, page 129, Essex County,VA. It is for a Thomas Meador and it names children and heirs. We have traced back to William Meador born about 1720 inVA and he married Frances Phitzsimmons.We descend from their son Richard.Good luck hunting and I hope your dad is still with us.
