Hello Cousins, Would it be safe to say this? Ambrose made a deed leaving land to his son Thomas. There is no mentioning wife or other kids. Could be assume that there are no kids other than Thomas and assume that wife passed before deed was made in Sept. 2, 1658? Hello Cousins, Does anyone know what counties to look for documents on these men? I have tons of info on these men, but I know I am not finished. Here is a list of what I have so far... List... listings in the 1600's ..... John has a son Thomas ---1694 deed John has a brother Thomas ? John JR has a son Thomas maybe--- 1720 Thomas is Execu. Thomas father to John wife Elizabeth White---Aug. 1679 Note---Thomas is deced before this date Aug 1679 also The land is around Hoskins Creek and the red Oak.---probably a clue to these are Thomas---1695 deed John and Elizabeth White son Thomas---1721 John's Will Ambrose has a son Thomas---1657 deed Thomas has a son Thomas---1658 deed Sarah and Thomas has a son John---1662 Sarah's Will Thomas wife Susannah---1705 marriage John Meadors is son to Thomas---1665 Hodgkins Creek deed Thomas married to Ann then Ann Ayres after he was decead does not mention a Thomas but mentions a John as son---1717. I would like to find Ann Ayres Will to see if there were other children which probably were not. No children in his Estate Inventory. John Senior deced by---1683 John Junior deced by---1683 Thomas---deed 1695 I have to look this one over There is a John Meaders wife Joane deed in the year May 1665. Meddows, John Junr., died April 18, 1706 Meddows, John Senr., died Jan. 9, 1707 Have I overlooked anyone named Thomas in the 1600's? probably! Has anyone made a connection to Pearson S. Meador b. 1819 in Smith Co. TN ? His father was (supposed to be) James Joel & Martha Asbury Meadors. James Joel Meadors parents were: John Watts Meadors(Sr) and wife Anna (last name unknown) John Watts was from Bedford Co. Va. I have been unable to make a parental connection for Pearson. I wanted to say that Rev Josiah was a JR. He was not born in 1736 but his father Josiah SR was born around then. There are documents in Botetourt County VA that have JR handling the Estate of Josiah SR in 1793. Rev. Josiah JR then moved on further to Summers County WV (Hinton WV). Josiah SR father's was Jonas, Jonas Will in Cumberland County VA along with wife's Will name Frances. Jonas father was John wife Elizabeth White they are found in Essex County VA. Will of John 1721 and Estate stuff. John's father is Thomas Wills and deeds found in Essex County VA Thomas Father is Ambrose Mador/Meador found in Essex County Deeds Hope this helps, Robin

Looking for information on Noah Fanville Meador/s. The family can be found on the 1880 Macon, TN census. Parents are Lewis W. and Melvina E. Children are Mary b.1878, Noah b.1874 and Valera b.1872. I find them again in the 1900 Ellis County TX census.Noah F. married Laura V. Franks and are located on the 1910 and 1920 census in Ellis county and then the 1930 census in Hardeman county, TX. Children include Barnett, Hobson, Lois, Gracie, Jack, "N.F". Jr, Marvin and Robert. Laura V. Franks Meador/s died in California in 1940. The family may have ended up in Washington. Do any of these names ring a bell with anyone? Thanks

She wrote a book 1987. Josiah I Meador-Meadows I found this book in Hinton WV at the Summers County Public Library. Her stuff is out dated because of new findings of documents.
