Robin, Jonas had a son named Joel. Interesting thing is that he is not mentioned in his father's will, but he is mentioned in his mother's will. Those listed In Jonas' will were son Jessy, John, Jehu and Joab and his wife Frances. Frances named in her will granddaughters Ann Meador and Roseannah Meador, and children Joel, Mary Holland, Frances Holloway, John, Josiah, Jehu, Joab, and Jesse. Jonas and Frances were living in Cumberland County VA according to the wills. Sheridan

Oh, it would be great if someone could sort this out. As you'll recall from Victor P. Meador's research, this was not conclusively settled. It is assumed that Joshua/Joel are one in the same, and descended from John and Frances Aubrey. I am a direct descendant of this Joshua/Joel, so this is particularly interesting to me! Richard died 1716 The James and Ann 1705 was not Richard's Ann Moss, she still married to Richard. This leaves Ann A. Bradbury (maiden name?,Pickett?) When did Ann Moss Meadows marry John Bryson? John Bryson and Anne Moss Meadows were married 1717-1720 in Essex Co. VA.? By these two paragraphs, it goes like this Richard Meador, son of John and Elizabeth White, married Elizabeth Anne Moss. Then married John Bryson where they continued to Orange Co. VA. Now, James Bradbury married Ann A. (maiden name?, maybe Pickett?) which her signature appears on John's Will. By the two dates above, Ann Moss married John Bryson 1717-1720 and still married on his Will of 1755. Ann A. Bradbury marriage before 1720 by John's Will, where she signed. Is Ann A. Bradbury signature that of wife James Bradbury? Who is this Ann A. Bradbury in regards to the two John's and signed their Will's. Hi Cousins, A cousin brought this to my attention. Pickett could be maiden name of mother or grandmother. I was thinking that the Anne name was middle name but is prossibly the nickname. Anne being the usual nickname for Elizabeth. But another thought is someone confused Anne's name and put Pickett as maiden name when (by documents) Anne's maiden name is Moss. Which can bring us to there is more than one Anne and her name is Anne Pickett (maiden name) (marriage name?) Refresher... On the Tax List of Orange Co. Va, I recognize two names that is in association to Francis. There is William Bell, husband to Mary "Frances" Meadows Bell. Full name is Frances "called Mary" Meadows Bell Alcock. "Frances Bell in Will of Thomas Meadows" William Bell was in Orange along with Francis Meadoes. Did Francis move to Orange with his "sister or Aunt" and live with them? Going from Essex Co. VA to Orange Co. VA Or another name comes to mind. John Bryson. He also lived in Essex Co. VA, did he move with Francis first, and then later Francis moved in with his sister or Aunt Frances "Mary" Meadows Bell Alcock?
