Arley and Cousins, That is a very good point. I was going to ask the list yesterday this question. Don't know if anyone knows but I will give it a try. I was reading my birth card yesterday, and on it, it had a birth number. Does anyone know what year Birth Numbers started? Also, I believe there is a death number. Does anyone know when death numbers started? I hope this will help someone. I don't know if this information is confirmed or not but maybe it will be a guideline for those researching these names. Compliments of list members.... this James Meadows that I mentioned probably was born in Warren Co North Carolina this is all the info. that I have on him. Isham Meadows Jr. moved via Georgia to Alabama about 1840 as far as I know he took all his family with him (its possible James Meadows could have moved to Virginia). I have other information that I have not viewed for a while, if I run across anything more on James Meadows I will let you know I have been able to go back to James R. Meadows b.6/2/1832 Prince Edward County,VA d 2/3/1909 married Elizabeth W. Colly b. abt 1820. I also wanted to add that there is a John Mader that came from England to Virginia in the Year 1653, who was his wife, may be it was Awbrey. Don't forget the John that came over to VA in the year 1630's. Any of the John's that came to Virginia is a canidate for being Awbury's husband, right? Forgive me if this is a dumb question..Has it ever been established that the TN Meador/s family and the VA Meador/s families are related? The Meador/s line I am looking for were in Macon County, TN on the 1880 census (Lewis W. and Melvina). The Meador/s family is connected with two other lines I am researching (McDonald's and Franks') but in what seems to be a continuing trend in my research. appear to have dropped onto the planet without parents or relatives. What little I know of biology, tells me that this cannot be, so I was just wondering if anyone knew of a connection between the TN and VA families. At least this would give me a new area to search and not find any information. Thanks
Here are suggested dates for Frances that doesn't work.... from the list.... William Meador/Meadows b 1706 married Frances Bryom b 1720. Her parents were Peter Byrom and Mary Nightingale. They had at least one other child - Mary Bryom b 1712. After Peter's death Mary married Garrett Phitzsimmons. Now, Frances Bryom is supposedly born 1720. But it shows child born 1712. Also William is said born 1706. To have child Mary year 1712 William would have been 6 years old Frances wasn't even born before child was born. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, Robin ____________________________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs

Hi Cousins, I am thinking we have two Francis men running in the same time frame but I have nothing to back this up as of yet. I just got a Will for Francis Meador of Essex Co. VA listing some kids but no wife. Year is 1770. Now if this be our Francis, why did he move from Essex to Orange Co. and then back to Essex Co. I do not know. But, there is a deed made for year 1791 of a Francis and a Mary his wife of Orange Co. VA. So it would look as if we have two Francis Meador/Meadows going. Still working on this one too. Any help, would be greatly appreciated. Take Care All, Robin ____________________________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs
