    3. Dear Maine Census Looker-upers, I am trying to track down a John Albert Richards, who -- I think -- was the son of Jarvis Richards and his wife Elizabeth Leah, nee Barnard. I have a strange entry from 1880 that gives a John, aged 21, "at school" and I think something might have been amiss, because the IGI entry for this John Richards gives a birthdate "about 1865" -- which in turns fits John Albert Richards, my g-grandfather's birthday on 25 Oct 1865. On his death certificate Maine is listed as the birth place. The reason I think that something is amiss is that I also have an 1880 census entry in Fresno Co., California (where John Richards actually ended up), which gives a John Richards aged 16, born in NH, although there are no John Richards born there in 1864 or 65. I know that this is a long shot, but any help would be much appreciated.
