This is the only James Thompson in Maine in 1880. I guess Maggie could be Mary and Annie could just have a different middle initial. Is it possible that James and Maggie had another son after 1880; he then died; Mr. Munsey adopted Annie, but the "new" James kept the Thompson name to carry on the heritage?
