    3. Could someone help me locate some missing Civil War veterans? I am preparing a cemetery tour at Glenwood Cemetery in Maynard, MA. The following veterans are buried there and have ties to Maine. I have been unable to find much information about them thus far. They are: Nelson HALL Samuel B. READING Levi P. SHATTUCK I'd appreciate knowing if they show up in the 1870 or 1880 Census Indexes. Thanks much. Peg

    3. I located a Nelson HALL 1st child of Lorenzo HALL a mariner who resided in Rockland, Maine(b. abt 1819) and Lorenzo's 2nd wife, Mrs. Hannah Holbrook. Nelson Hall was b. abt. 1841 and was a mariner and soldier. This information comes from Eaton's History of Thomaston, Rockland, and S. Thomaston, Maine.pub. 1865) There is no more info about Nelson but is more on his siblings. I found nothing on the other two men in my books (they concentrate mostly on the Rockland, Thomaston, Cushing area of Maine) I hope this information may be helpful to you--possibly a good place to start looking for census info. would be Knox County since Nelson was from there. Best of luck, dianne ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peg" <pjb@ma.ultranet.com> To: <ME-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2001 4:00 AM Subject: Civil War Veterans? > Could someone help me locate some missing Civil War veterans? > I am preparing a cemetery tour at Glenwood Cemetery in Maynard, MA.
