My Morey ancestors appear in the 1860 census for Oxford, Oxford County, Maine (ie. Thomas, Laura, Francis D., Nancy...) and in the 1900 census for the same town (ie. Herbert, Eliza....). I can't seem to locate them in the 1870 or 1880 censuses for Oxford, and am assuming that they must have moved to a different town (or towns) during those years. Does someone have a census index for Oxford County, Maine (1870, 1880) that might show these families? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Perhaps they moved a little south for a while- found one in NJ- and in several other states for 1870 farther west- MOREY, Thomas - NJ - 1870 - Hudson Co - 13 W Jersey City - pg.488 - I don't have access to actual info but someone else on the list may be able to look it up for you.
