    1. Re: [ME-CENSUS] Piscataquis/1870/DODGE & 1850
    2. Dear Ms. Lame, I used the clues from the infomation that Darlene sent to you on the marriage records and the data from other lookup vounteers. I search to see if there were any Dodge familes at all in Benton in the 1870 Index. There was: DODGE, JOHN P., 60 M W ME. KENNEBEC, BENTON., Roll 546, p148; 1870 Index. I do not have access to the full Kennebec Census. Try the Kennebec List too. A full lookup from the page number will provide info about the rest of the family living with John P. Dodge. Next, I searched the 1850 Census Index for John P. Dodge. The full 1850 proved his family lived in Sebastiook, Kennebec Co., Maine and there was Hobart (10). (Now you know that Hobart would be 30 in 1870.) Enmeration July 17, 1850. 1850: Here is all the family of John P. (38) a farmer married to Rosanna (38), both born in Maine. Value of Real estate: 400. Howard W. (12). Hobart (10), both attended school within the last year. Orvin J. (3), Charlotte (initial?) (1). Samuel Wilson (52 ) Laborer, born in Maine.
