I am searching for the parents of George W. Wakefield who was born July 25, 1838 I believe in Saco, ME. He married Sarah Hooper in April 20, 1858. Any help would be appreciated. Bob W.

For the 1850 census, I checked all the indexed Wakefield entries in York County, Maine on my FTM CD, but I found none with a George of the right age (the closest one was age 17). I also checked another George W in Washington County, but no luck there, either. I have, however, occasionally found unindexed entries on the CD, so perhaps George W is hiding somewhere in the pages for Saco. So sorry, and good luck.
