    1. LAMBERT - 1790 Census
    2. Hello Maryland, My search for Henry LAMBERT has led me from Shenandoah County, VA where Henry died in 1843, to Lovettsville, Loudoun County, VA (possibly) where a son, David is born in 1799, and now possibly Washington County, MD. A Henry LAMBERT appears in the 1790 Washington County census. A Henry LAMBERT also appears in a Loudoun County, VA tax list at about the same time. Could these Henrys be the same person? At some point prior to 1790, Henry marries Elizabeth UNKNOWN. A daughter, Catrina and a son David are born (christened) in Lovettsville. Henry and family then appear in the 1810 Shenandoah County, VA census where he and Elizabeth live the rest of their lives. Henry's Will is probated in 1843. Would anyone have any information on Henry Lambert?? Rick Monroe Long Beach, CA

    3. I don't have any specific references to these two names. There is some information on George and Jacob Lambert - in the January 4, 1805 edition of the Maryland Herald they advertised that some stray sheep had come to their plantation about seven miles from Hagerstown. In the marriage index: Jc./Elizabeth Gearhart 1/1/1802 Geo./Jane Johnson 12/5/1803 From the Distribution of Estate Accounts I can tell you that Jacob was administrator for Sophia Gearhart and his heirs received a distribution, so she is some relation probably. There are two Lambert estates- one for Eve and one for George M. and they have the same heirs - Thomas Noland and wife (Susannah), Jacob, heirs of Eve Gearhart, George H., John, Michael Graybell and wife, Barbara Ann Zeigler, Jonas, William Garver and wife, Shem. [Michael Graybill of Lancaster Co. PA married Esther Lambert Feb. 4, 1808 according to the Maryland Herald, Feb. 5, 1808.] [Also William Garver married Mary Lambert 2/10/1812 according to marriage index, and Eve Lambert married David Gearhart 6/13/1801] I don't know if any of these match any of your information, but these are the Lamberts in the area in the early 1800's that I was able to track.
