Thanks to all who replied to my query. I have some food for thought here. I believe the Ella Christopher you refer to has already been looked at by me; in fact, I requested the obit or death certificate from the MD Archives but it was not my Ella. However, the two James MASONs may well bear looking into. I have looked at the Archives as they were put on line but found nothing significant for him. I will let you know if I find out anything from these clues. This MASON family is a tough wall to climb over but we are determined to find the answers by working forward and then backward again. I just know that there are surviving grandchidren or great-grandchildren who are also engaged in the search and perhaps we can connect with them, too. Thanks again. Archives and then click into vital records, when you see the format clocik on the initial and scroll thru, you can jump ahead to the time period you are looking for.
