    3. Older books have often been put on microfilm by the LDS church and are available through your local Family History Center. From home, you can check to see if the book has been microfilmed by going to: www.familysearch.org, then Search, etc. To locate your nearest FHC, go to the Family History Centers on the left had menu about the LDS church, then fill in the info as requested. If the book has been microfilmed, you can borrow it for a minimal fee ($3.25 here in MD) for a month, and if it is something you think you would want to have available permanently you can have it on Indefinite Loan for an additional $6.50 and it will always be available to you at your nearest FHC when they are open.
