In the Washington County Cemetery records Vol 5, page 88 there is a Samuel Bowers born 30 Dec. 1815 and died 7 Oct.1854 and his wife, Ruth Ann, age 58 yr.,2m,16 day; died 1 May 1876. They are both buried in St.Paul's Lutheran Reformed Church on Route 40, near Clearspring,Md. The first church was built 1747, 2nd. church built 1795. In St. PAul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Graveyard at Leitersburg,Md. there is a Bowers, John F. s/o Samuel and Ann Bowers b 26 Oct. 1839 ; died 29 Dec 1846. Betty
