Bowders and Elizabeth are the parents of George W., John Calvin, Ida Katherine, Nancy, Laura, Marie, and Lewis Henry Bowders. They married 26 Sept. 1850, Waynesboro, Franklin Co., PA. The 1860 Washington Co, census lists John H. Bowders, 35, farm laborer, as residing in the Hagerstown 2nd District with wife, and children George, John , Nancy and Ida K.
