    3. Terri: There is one possible way to try and resolve your Farrow name, see if your library has a copy of Dr. George Black's book "The Surnames of Scotland" and look up both names. If not listed in this book I would say thats its 99% accurate, then you are German. This is a research book, so go to your head library.
