Seeking information on my ancestral Myers family from Washington County Maryland. I have John and Mary which are very common Myers names. They resided at some point at Antietam Furnace. I suspect that John descends from Michael Myers of Sharpsburg but so far have been unable to prove this connection. This is a work in process. Additions or corrections would be greatly appreciated. He was a member of Dixon-Troxell Post 211 American Legion in Funkstown; AMVETS Post 10, in Hagerstown; Funkstown Moose Lodge 2435; North American Rod and Gun Club; Conococheague Sportsmen's Club; Goodwill Athletic Association, and had played on the Antietam Red Birds baseball team. He is survived by one stepdaughter, Marilee Combs of Reston, Va.; one stepson, Rand L.
