Hi Roger, There are Gossards galor here in Washington County. My wife's g-g-grandfather was David Gossard. He had 14 children by his 1st wife who died at age 35 [wonder why?] and 12 more by his 2nd wife who was the house-keeper during the 1st wife. I have a good bit on the Gossards but very little on Sanford. 1. David Gossard 1827-1902 ...+Mary Catherine Elliott [1st wife] 1833-1868 ......2. John Theodore Gossard 1853-1922 .........+Josie Irene Barnes 1854-1930 ............3. Sanford [Tobey] Gossard; b. Jan. 13, 1891, d. July 1973 I have no spouse for him. I got his death from Soc. Sec. Death Index. He was 18 in 1920 Census. We have a great Obituary index here in the library. Most of our newspapers are on microfilm clean back to the 1700's. Sanford is listed in the index as 82yrs. in the Daily Mail dated 7/18/1973. There is a Margie Gossard listed as 85yrs. in the Daily Mail dated 1/7/1976.
